    many explorers had ships named after saints. another way to name your fictional vessel would be after a point of land or a geographic feature of your home area (moutain, peak, river, bay, lake, etc) - example - the 'carpathia' named after the carpatian mountains was the ship on the scene after the titanic sunk.

    Why not name your boat after a famous explorer? There's all kinds to choose from. Just Google "explorer" and have a look around
