    try putting a spacer block under the carb .. that did it for me..

    A spacer is a good idea, use one that is "phenolic", they don't transfer heat.

    make sure that the fuel you are using is not oxygenated or contains alcohol. this type of fuel has a different vapor pressure and density and can cause vapor lock at moderate temps (some resorts or jobbers still have winter blended fuel in the spring, this has a high alcohol content, notice that most vapor lock happens early in the year!)
